Cordierite ceramic insulator with screw thread for heating wire
Cordierite ceramic insulator with screw thread for heating wire
Material: cordierite, steatite, alumina
Size: Support OEM

Description:
Ceramic wire-wound resistors consist of a resistance wire wound around a ceramic core. The shape of the resistor can be round or oval and is coated with an insulating material.
The ceramic resistors comply of one or multiple ceramic wire-wound resistors fitted with a protection grid and optional connection box and or thermal switch. We produce ceramic wire-wound resistors only to costumer’s drawing, sample and to costumer’s requirements.

Material:
Steatite C221 is the optimal choice of ceramic bases material for temperatures below 350 -400ºC. It has high mechanical strength and excellent DC stability.
For large resistor types, corderite C520 are used due to its very high stability to temperature changes.
-
APPLICATION:
- Brake resistors
- “Snubbers” (attenuators in controlled and uncontrolled rectifiers)
- Charging and discharging resistors
- Starting of large electric motors
